Service Description

Bringing a newborn child home can feel overwhelming to both new and experienced parents. Not knowing how much food baby is getting, or how to soothe a crying baby are some of the most common fear-triggering doubts. In this class you and your partner will walk away with the ability to: * Implement basic breastfeeding habits * Understand how to establish a strong latch * Apply different breast-feeding positions * Understand how to store, warm up, and thaw breast milk * Safely hold and lay down your baby * Establish and nurture the bond with your newborn * Soothe your crying tiny person * Choose which diapering system is best for you and how to change those diapers! * Give baby a safe, comfortable, and relaxing bath! * Care for the umbilical cord * Care for both an intact and a circumcised penis * Learn about and treat jaundice * Apply techniques to soothe colic discomfort * Detect problems and determine when to call the pediatrician
